My name is Arriana Bean. I’m from Olive Branch, MS. and I’m a Senior General Studies major with minors in Psychology, Chemistry and Biology. This year I serve as one of The Black Student Union’s Special Event Chairs, specifically the Gala. I have been a part of BSU since my freshman year. It has allowed me to find myself but also grow as a young black woman. I have always loved what the Gala offers to the black students of Ole Miss. It is a time we all can come together as a community, and are celebrated for our accomplishments. I love seeing everyone come out, dressed there best. This year I hope for the Gala be bigger and better. I want more of our Black students serving the community to be recognized but also shown a good time. I hope regardless of what you’re already a part of you look at the Black Student Union as a home and a safe place. We have so much to offer each and every one of you!
