Sophomore: English and Political Science

My name is Yasmine Malone. I am a sophomore from Clarksdale, MS, pursuing Political Science and English degrees. I decided to join the Black Student Union because I want those potential minority students after me to be more comfortable and proud in knowing they have a place and purpose at The University of Mississippi. As Co-director of Community Service and Director of the BSU Elections Committee, I hope to help cultivate a community of talent, leadership, and excellence within the University of Mississippi’s student body. From my experience with BSU, I have learned that there is role that we all can play in creating a more inclusive, representative, and equitable student experience.
